My Christmas Meaning

The Christmas story really is an amazing thing.  Of course we know the arrival of our Savior was important.  But just how much of an impact did this little baby make on our world?  What changed because of His life, death and ressurection.  His birth itself was a miracle because He was conceived by the Holy Spirit.  This broke the sinful lineage that has always been past down from one generation to the next.  He was God incarnate!

With His life and ministry, He changed countless lives and showed un-earthly compassion.  He befriended dignitaries but He also took as His followers fisherman, tax collectors and adulterers.  Even in death, He welcomed into Heaven with Him, a thief that was dying beside Him.  In His ressurection, we have eternal life.

Jesus went so far as to even change our past in the eyes of God Almighty.  When He sees us, all He sees is the Gift.  He changed our present because of our new lives in Christ.  He changed our future by giving us an eternity with Him in Heaven.  In short, the Christmas story changed man's story forever!

A Sad Day In Heaven

Dear Fellow Christian,

Are you tired and weary and longing to go home? I just think and wonder what you will say to God when you stand before Him alone. Are you going to try to make excuses like you did here on Earth or will you be ashamed like I will for many times shirking our duty of telling the story of Jesus - His death and His birth. Will you be happy and joyful to see His face, or will you just hang your head in shame and disgrace? You know the Bible tells us that at one point all tears shall be wiped away. We sing about no tears in Heaven, but where I come from, there have to be tears to wipe them away.

Aah, I know Heaven is a wonderful place, street of Gold and the like, but mainly Jesus will be there and He is the Light. But think with me a minute. When we recognize Him by His nail-pierced hands and his feet, His pierced sid and his thorn pierced brow, hey, what do you think? Are you happy now? Remember, our sin put Him on that cross because without His death we would still be lost. And His virgin birth and His resurrection were just as important because if He had not been born, He would not have been here and and without His resurrection, He would not be there.

So the miracle is that He is God and He loves us. He was virgin born proving He is God, He lived a perfect sinless life, further proving He is God. The Bible says all have sinned, but that all did not refer to God. He took the shame and reproach of all men and their sin in Himself and died like a sinner on the cross. But unlike a sinner, rose from the grave on the third day, victorious over sin, the Devil, death, hell and the grave and everything else you might want to name.

The Great I Am gave up His throne, His life, His Reputation, His Dignity for the love of His life. And now the Great I Am is back where He was and thank God, He always will be. I am glad God is God. He is holy, righteous, perfect, omnipotent, omnipresent and all the other good things you can say about Him, but I think when we first see Him, instead of His glory and magnificence and perfection, we will see the scars and how we helped to put them there. And that will be a sad day in Heaven, but thank God it will be the last one because God shall wipe away all tears (Rev. 21:4).

A Deceitful Heart

Jeremiah 17:9

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

God can know it.  He's the only One who can and does know it.  That is another reason to turn our hearts totally over to God, so He can search out the dark corridors of our heart and cleanse it.  We can't possibly cleanse our own heart.  We don't know it, can't search it, can't change it and don't want to change it.

God is our only hope!

Psalms 51:10

"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."

Psalms 139:23, 24

"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

Regarding Christ on the cross:

Regarding Christ on the cross:

In the fullness of time, He lay down His life and let them crucify Him. They put Him in a tomb and sealed the door, but He wouldn't stay dead. He walked through the door. How are you going to seal the Prince of Life in a tomb anyway? What can you do to Him that He doesn't allow you to do? If he had not lay down His life for us, we would have no chance of salvation. It was not possible for them to kill Him. He had to freely give, die on His own for us. Oh, the beating was terrible. The crown of thorns on His head was terrible. The plucking out of His beard was terrible. The driving of nails into His hands and feet was terrible. The placing of the cross into the hole with the weight of His body nailed to it and the flesh tearing when the cross hit the bottom was terrible. The shame, nakedness and humiliation as He was displayed on the cross was terrible. The hours of agony on the cross was terrible. The agony and pain of hardly being able to breath was terrible. The awful thirst He suffered only to be offered vinegar to drink was terrible. The spear piercing His side seemed to be another terrible punishment to the Lord Jesus Christ, but that was done, first to fulfill the Scripture, but also to prove that Jesus was already dead (blood and water), that He died on His own (under His own power), and none had taken His life from Him. He lay it down Himself for us. And three days later He took His life up again never to die anymore, never to be crucified, never to be humiliated, and never to be pushed around by man or anyone else. He is our risen Savior, but more than that, He is GOD! He is the I AM and He always will be! Jesus is Creator! Jesus is the Savior! Jesus is God! Jesus is Lord of all! PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!

He suffered all of this for you, no matter who you are or what you've done. Have you accepted Him as your personal Savior? If not, click here to find out how.
